What is Land Based Learning? Why should I care? How is this relevant to my teaching? Where do I start? What are the benefits?
Land Based Learning is a broad term that encompasses environmental, experiential and culturally responsive education. It is an all encompassing topic/program, it can stretch across curriculum strands/grades and can incorporate many different learning strategies. It revolves around the concept of placed based learning and its values, and has it's roots in First Nations, Inuit and Metis education.
